George Wedige was a local miner who married the mayor’s daughter and was gifted the land this building was founded on. From 1906 until 2016, this establishment remained in the Wedige family.
It has seen the days of prohibition and has continuously had the doors open longer than any bar in (Southwest) Wisconsin.
With new owners, they have taken pride in the history that is within these walls. Scattered around the bar, there are pictures that span from the very beginning until now to remind customers what made this establishment what it is.
